From Vickie
From BrittneyAs many of you know, I'm SUPER competitive and right now I feel like it is half time and we are SUPER close to winning the game. There are a lot of things both in and out of our control, but I challenge you to focus on the things that are in your control this week. What can you do to make a difference and help our team win our 70% passing rate goal? And what can you do to help increase our Checkpoint participation this week? Also, if you are like me, then January wasn't your best month. Nor is it ever your best month???? Ugh - I hate January and am so happy to say goodbye to it this week. I feel like I've been in a rut and blame it on January. So, I am going to challenge myself and also challenge you again to find something non work related that makes you happy and go do it. Shut the computer when work time is done and go enjoy time doing what you love to do. Have a great week and let's get our best Checkpoint participation yet! Calendar
TasksThanks to all who used the checklist last week, helps us keep on track with tasks and also know who might need a little extra support!
K12 FYI'sSchool Email Enhancement
This week the IT team was able to resolve the issue of images not pasting directly into the body of a new email message when composed from the OLS. Now, teachers can paste by using Control + V in the body of the new email message to insert an image. As a recommendation, it is always best to attach screenshots, as it produces the highest resolution image. K12Training.com School Email module has been updated to reflect the new enhancement. Be on the lookout over the next few months for more requested Email enhancements! Online Middle and High School – Did you k12now? The guide is found in the “How to Set Up Your Course in the Online Middle and High School” teacher training course. Be sure to review it in the next coming days/weeks. Teachers: Release Final Grade-Change to the Default Setting School Services Team: Teach360 Point of Contact: Allison Dracha Action: For your information Teachers: on January 27, 2017 teachers will no longer need to release the “final calculated grade” for their students to be able to see their overall grade in the course. Note the Eye icon. If the final grade has been released for that student, an open eye will appear next to the grade. If no eye icon appears, it means the final grade has not been released for that student. Please note: This change is not retroactive so if your course was created before January 27th, then you will need to manually release the Final Grades for your students. Classroom Overview Report – Coming 1/27 School Services Team: Product Management Point of Contact: Rob Letcher ([email protected]) Action: Review and provide training resources to your staff On January 27th, 2017, K12 will release the Class Overview report for all courses in the Middle and High School online platform—not just Summit courses.
