I just want to tell you how grateful I am for the out of the box thinkers! I was telling Anne and Brittney today in our HS leadership meeting how wonderful it's been to see the shining stars there are up here in the High School! Thank you to those who are finding solutions to concerns, ways to move forward in a positive direction and not getting stuck on the paused elevator when obstacles come up, WE NEED YOU! TasksThank you so much for chipping away at this week's tasks! I realize now that some of them were a little ambitious and if there were 5 more hours in each day maybe we could have gotten to all of them. Thank you for your patience as we work through making things manageable while keeping the main thing the main thing and that is THE STUDENTS! I've Updated the checklist to remove tasks with deadlines that have past and simplified the homeroom task section. If you have red on the checklist at this point, please either mark it off if it's complete or prioritize getting them done by Friday.
Priority for HOMEROOM time: Welcome CallsCurrently we have 334 students with no welcome call recorded for them. I'm going with a hunch that these students have been visited with but the note may not have been logged for them or maybe not logged correctly. Here's what we need to do with that:
For some of you there is a big list. PLEASE know I don't expect you to work crazy hours and stress yourself out getting to all of them in the next two days. I only ask for progress, do as many as you can fit in during the homeroom hour. If you're someone with no welcome calls to make and have a teammate that could use your help, it sure would be nice of you to help us get this task complete and insure all of our friends here in the HS have been welcomed! Below is the document that walks you through step by step how to correctly log the note.
Student Messaging From MeI'm recording a video tomorrow for the students and parents explaining the most frequently asked questions of the week. I've talked to as many parents as I have had time to do and all conversations have been positive and end well and will continue to do so but do want to clarify a few things to the masses:

Tasks
All tasks are listed here on the weekly checklist, please mark the tasks complete as you finish them.
- Plans to pass: Create a "plan to pass" for your course including combination of the most important content and the most valuable assignments.... and extra credit! After creating your plan, put it in a word doc, save it with your last name in it and upload it here. We have some that have been at this longer than others and seeing what others are doing may give them a good idea of what they should include in their's. No pressure but it has been mentioned that Nicole K is a pro, so we'll be looking for yours in the folder! ;)
- Gradebook tasks: The majority of you finished the gradebook tasks last week and so there are only two this week to keep things updated; it will be likely you'll be living in your gradebook this week.
- Closing out the block OP's tasks. I'm not entirely sure what those are today, I apologize, but just wanted you to expect some coming from Meghan in order to smoothly transition blocks.
