Welcome New TeachersWe would like to welcome our new Math Teacher (teaching Math 2) Summer Guyman. She comes to us from St. George and we are thrilled to have her. We have a new English teacher as well, but her information isn't 100% final yet so we will welcome her when it is. Homerooms are LIVE!I just received word from Meghan that homerooms are live and ready to go. Homerooms are capped at 32 students. That means if you have 32 showing in your class list then yours is full and you won't get any new students. If you have less than 32 students, you may get a few new students as they are enrolled. Your priority this week is to get your welcome calls completed. I know that this puts you in a crunch, but if you break it down, it will only be 6 calls a day. Find a good time and get through the calls. Please see the email sent from Brittney on 8/14 for your Homeroom Tasks this week! Course Schedules/ Teacher Schedule TASK!I know everyone has been anxious to know what their schedule looks like. The good news is that there is a lot of room for teachers to create their own schedule. Please watch the jing below to explain the schedule and give you directions on what you need to do. My video timed out before I could finish. But essentially, you will copy and paste your dept. schedule and then fill in the details of your own schedule on your tab. (If you have questions, please contact your department lead or Brittney). Async TrackA few teachers have requested information on the Blue and Yellow Tracks that they could put in their syllabus. Below is some information that you can copy and paste. I will have the links and application information ready to go at the end of this week. Welcome Back AssemblyThanks to a lot of input from teachers and department heads, we were able to finalize our opening assembly and orientation plans. If you have any clubs or announcements that you want to go in the assembly, please get me a slide ASAP! And your department lead will get you the information needed for your class orientations. Inspiration copied from Angie's K8 weekly announcement...You all have probably seen this but if not, it's worth the watch! "It's what you do in the dark that puts you in the light. " As my own kids are going back to school I thought about how much I'm hoping that the teachers they have this year are ones that put in the effort to be GREAT at what they do. Teachers who care about them and love them. That's what I want for this team. I want a team of people all working to be their best selves and in turn make the lives of the students we serve better from being with us. We're not a medicore group of educators we are passionate ones who will strive for GREATNESS!
