ILPs
Mentors will provide the engagement goals for all students and counselors will provide academic goals. This will be their Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) on a quarterly basis. These goals are designed to both clarify and guide the student’s learning experience while motivating the student and increasing the likelihood of high academic achievement. Progress goals will be based on a student’s enrollment date, and these goals will be written to ensure a student meets or exceeds standards.
o ILPs are created using academic and behavioral data about individual students.
§ Data should be pulled from student progress, attendance, Study Island participation, Test Scores, and other relevant information.
§ The ILP includes current progress, test scores, and goals for the student.
o ILP’s are used during an ILP conference
o ILP’s can be sent to families at any time.
o Every student needs to have an individualized ILP.
o ILP conferences are held at least 2 times per year for each student.
§ Teachers can hold additional ILP conferences for non-at-risk students throughout the school year.
§ At risk students have 2 additional ILP conferences during the school year.
o ILPs are established with each student at the beginning of the school year or upon enrollment for mid-year enrollees.
o Contact will be as needed and during parent teacher conference the academic goals will be set.
